There is no other way to put it. 2020 has been a horrendous year. We started the year with the rumblings of Taal Volcano which dislocated families and damaged houses and disrupted livelihood. Our country has been devastated by a number of strong typhoons that cost lives and damaged property. And of course, there is the coronavirus pandemic that has affected the entire world and has caused death, suffering, and economic loss.
The pandemic can be likened to a powerful typhoon or a calamity that left a trail of destruction in its wake. Like a natural disaster, Covid-19 rendered millions of Filipinos jobless, halted the transportation system and shuttered many business establishments.
Twenty-twenty is a foregone conclusion insofar as the performance of the Philippine economy is concerned. Everybody suffered this year—from conglomerates and small-scale businesses to office workers and the ordinary Filipino.

A life made beautiful has always been the goal for businessman Manny Villar. Manny couldn’t help but reminisce how Vista Land started.
